SHEEP BREEDERS ATTENTION

The attention of sheep breeders is directed to the supply of very excellent rams of various breeds that are available in this Province during the present sea- son. This is particularly true of Oxfords, Shrop- shires, and Border Cheviots. All these rams have been inspected and have graded XXX. A number of ' Shearllngs are available as well as lambs. The price

l' of these rams is very moderate indeed. A subsidy or bonus of B1200 is provided for ram lambs, and 5515.00 for X Shearlings, by the Provincial Department of Agriculture, and is deducted from the price secured by the seller.

The sheep industry is important in Prince Edward Island livestock economy. Tzhe greatest returns for lambs can only be secured if we use top rams on our flocks.

"To climb of course. What: else would I want of it?" replied Cousin Gray testily.

The young fox blinked. "Say that again," said he. ''I dont think I heard you aright."

"I said I wanted a tree handy to climb," said Cousin Gray. "Is that plain enough?”

"Foxes don't climb." said Young

There is no thoroughly satis- factory or "scientific" way of bid- ding a hand like South's, and al- though the six-diamond bid was unquestionably a shot in the dark, it was by no means illogical. Ob- serve that South had the right to except a. better dummy on the mere strength of North's free spade bid (which wasadistinct stretch). Considering the fact that East had doubled the slam contract, which he scarcely would liave done on heart strength. West-might well have thought about some opening lead other than his own suit - preterably',of course, it club - but apparently he could not steel him- self to anything so daring. He laid down the heart ace. South ruiied with the nine and led the spade ten toward dummy. West played low - and so did dummy! South saw that it would do him good to get one discard on dummy's spades, and so his only chance, as far as he could see, was that West had the jack and had neglected to cover.
