Talent Introduced, at the Back Door

One of the brightest spots and the mostl”13tr- uctive products of last week's Oktoberfest was the 'Back Door Coffee House'. Friday afternoon a large audience packed into the Panther Lounge relaxed, enjoyed and were as- tounded by the local tal- ent.they witnessed.

Starting the coffee

house off in a great mood were Julie and Dave Kara— halis,she on the piano, accompanied by her brother on the bass guitar.Julie played mostly Joni Mitchell numbers with a bit of origé inal ad—libbing, .

Next was Jim MacMillan centering his part around some great original songs

with the acoustic guitar. Finally,rounding off the coffee and donuts,was Paul.Broadbent also with guitar,and joined by Dave .again,on bass,Andy Deacon with his mouth harp and John Barrett on piano.The coffeehouse had proven tor be a great mixture of quiet folksy music and tap-
