_ The Ottawa Journal reports that Finance Minister “Sharp, who some- times sems to be the whole Pearson governnent, picked up his telephone a couple of days ago to ask the presi- dent of the Steel Company of Canada to “reconsider and rescind” the de- cision to increase steel prices by some three perf cent. Mr. Sharp sa far has succeeded in winning only

“The steel company, of course, could argue that the increase was due to the fact that it was compelled, re- cently, to-give its employees a sub- stantial pay’ increase.
