The first game I won right off, though I must confess that the cards were with me, and that my adversary could have done no more. New Method of Extracting Gold,

The new method of extracting gold from ore, an improvement on the cyanide process in thoroughness and saving of time, was discovered by Mr. H. L. Sul- man. He has obtained the bromide of cyanogen, which, when added to the weak cyanide solution now in use, produces the compound now obtained slowly by the addition of oxygen. The compound
