A meeting of the members of the N.B.-P.E.I. branch of the Canadian Association of Social Workers was held at the Char- lottetown Hospital Nursing School on Saturday. November 6th.

Following the routine business session, a discussion led by Mrs. Dorothy Bishop, on "Services to the Unmarried Mother and her Child." gave direct observation of the problems which arise in the broad area and variety of settings in which this phase of social work is carried on. and pointed out the challenge which the nature of l-hi5 responsibility presents to all who work lri this field.

Grading Ol Maritime Hospitals Recommended

MONCTON. N. 13.. Nov. 5--(CP) —A resolution that the grading of hospitals in the Maritlmes be car- ried out as quickly as possible was passed by the executive of the Maritime Hospital Association at the concluding meeting here yes- terday. Hospitals would be classi fled as to the type and amount of service they can provide.

An institute on hospital admin- istration will be held next spring. it was also announced. No location has as yet been chosen for the meeting. The site of the noxt ex- ecutive meeting il also undecided.

The New Brunswick section _of the Maritime Hospital Association has made plans to send the execu- tive to the hospital planning com- mittee in Edmonton on November
