The pastor Rev. Lindsay Graves. opened the meeting with scripture
clerk. read the minutes of the last annual meeting and Mr. Arthur Simmons. church treasurer. read he financial report. Following liese. the chairmen of all church Hi organizations. gave their reports. Mr. Eric liohiiison. chairman of the board of trustees. reported iihe redecorating of the interior of -the hall. the parsonage. and the .Westmoreland church. the grad- Jing of the Tryon church lawn. tsome necessarry repairs on the iproperty. and the installation of a new pump in they parsonage.
Mrs. Raymond Wood read the report of the Tryon. Women's Missionary Society and the Young People's Society. Mrs. Robert .Mayhew the report of the West- imoreland W.M.S. These groups re- lcorded an increase both in mem- ibership and usefulness. The Sun- iday School report waslgiven by lMiss Millie R. Gamble. the lGuild rcport by Mrs. Spurgeon IClark. Mrs. Claude Vessey report- 9ed for the sewing circle. Mrs. Ken- Lneth Roblee for the mission Band. land Mrs. L. Graves for the CG. l.T. group. All these reports re- vealed that l946 had been a suc- icessiul year spiritually and finan- claily.
