LIGHTS AT DAPE RACE AND CAPE PINE.

ITH reference to Notices to Mariners, Nos. 28 and 5, issued

from this oliice on the 12th day of June, 1565, and the 1st

day of February, l866, respectively, relative to the proposed alter-

ations of the lights at Cape Race and Cape Pine, mariners are

hereby informed, that the contemplated changes will take place on the 21st day of August, 1866»

The ﬁxed light at Cape Racc will be altered to a revolving white light, attaining its greatest brilliancy every half-minute.

N pursuance of an Act of the General Assombly of this Island, passed in the Twenty-seventh year of the reign of Her present Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled, “ An Act to consolidate and amend the several laws imposing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and tor the encouragement of Education."

I do hereby publicly notify the owners or occupier; of Land and Real Estate in Georgetown and Common, for which the annual Assessment levied thereon by the Assossors for said Town and Common is payable. that unless the Assessment for the current year be paid into the hands of James N. Cogswell, Esquire, my Collector for said Town and Common, within the time prescribed by Law, proceedings will be taken against all such Lands and Real Estate as shall then be in arrears for the non-payment of the sums charged thereon, agreeably to the directions of the above recited Act.

I do herebypnblicly noiily the owners or occupiers of Lands in this Island, for which the annual Assessment or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two pence lawful money of this Island for every hundred acres of wilderness or unimproved Lands, contained in the Several Townships and the Islands belonging thereto; and the sum ofsix shillings and eight pence ol'like moneylor every hundred acres ol'cultivated or improved Lands in the said several Townships and Islands us aloresaid; and at the rate of nine shillings and two pence of like money per hundred acres for wilderness or unimproved Town Lois and Pasture Lots in ilie Town and Boyd Ly ol‘ Priiicetown; and at the rate of six shillings and eight pence ol like money per hundred acres for cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in ilie Town and Royalty of Princetown as aliiresaid; and the sum of four shillings of like money lor each and every uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot, Common Lot and \Vaier Lot, grant- ed III the Town and Common ol' Charloiletmvn; and the sum of six shillings of like money for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings of like monin for each and eVery cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the Royalty; and the sum of two shillings and six pence of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Town Lot and Water Lot in the said Town; and the sum ol two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or im- proved Common Lot as aloresaid; and the sum of two shillings and eight pence ol like money for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved Town Lot and \Vater Lot in the Town of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and four pence of like money for each and every cultiVaIed and improved Town Lot and \Vatcr Lot in the last mentioned Town; and the sum of three shillings and four pence of like money lor each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Georgetown: and the sum of two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Pasture Lot in the last mentioned Royalty; and the sum of two pence of like money for each and every acre of cultivated or improved Lands in the Royalty of Georgetown, called Reserved Lands; and the sum oftliree pencc ol like money for each and Mary acre of such last mentioned Lands as may be deemed uncultivated or unimproved Lands; and so inproportion [or a less quantity—is payable; that unless the. Assessment or Assessments for the current year, imposed by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, be paid into my hands, or the hands of any of my Deputies, (as required by law,) on or betbre the Sixth day of DECEMBER next, 1 shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in armor for non-pay- ment ofthe sums charged thereon.
