funny moments are the band learning to write lyrics together for the first time and being forced to record a cheesy promo for a radio station. But, for long-time Metallica fans alike, one of the best scenes in the film is when Lars has a sit-down with former Metallica guitarist and Megadeath front man, Dave Mustane, who was kicked out of the band more than twenty years ago, and still hasn’t got over it. It’s kinda of tense; you can’t write scenes like that! Clocking in at over two hours, Metallica’s Some Kind of Monster never gets boring. And with over seven hours of bonus features on disc two,

it’s a revealing look of how one of the most loved bands today came so close to disintegration. Be sure to check out the scene where Metallica takes their families bowling. Metallica bowling? Get outta here!

situations that make you ask “what would I do if I was chained in a bathroom about to die?” I felt the movie had loads of potential to be much better, but I still recommend it to a fan of horror films, or even someone who enjoys trying to guess who the killer is in the first 15 minutes ofa movie. I give SAW 3 out of 5 stars for it’s refreshingly original ideas, and it’s ability to cause the viewer to lose their appetite for meat in the two weeks that follow the viewing of this film. Pick itup.
