For some time parties in Maine have been angling for the stallion Sirncoe Harvester 2.04 1-4, but they were just s trifle too late and he is now owned and at the home of R. S. McKay. Dundas. Mr. McKay was the former owner of Real Money 2.00 1-2, now in the stud at Montague. We are glad that Mr. McKay has secured this well-bred and extremely fast horse that has been inthe stable of Harry O'Brien at Aibertnn. the last two or threeyears. Simeoe Harvestar was meant for a better than tWO-milflllit! pacer. The fact ‘that he paced the Quebec track in 2.04 1-4--which is still the record there-is evidence of the fact. His career was notable for the num- ber of wins he made and the distances he bevelled. His let are just coming along nicely and in a few years many of them should make the headlines.

We had the pleasure of a short visit from J. P. Kehoe, Cape Trav- erse, a few days ago and our talk went back to the good old days when Jack Irving was the top ieinanan of the Maritimes. Mr. Kehoe has bred some good ones including Major Bowes 2.10 1-4 and Paddy Aubrey 2.15 1-2, that had all the requirements of a 2.10 pacer.
