Our prayer must also be per- isevering. God wants us to show ,our trust in Him. to give proof !of our hope in Him. by perse- rvering in our requests. it may ilook as though our prayer will 'never be answered. but we must keep on.

If we need an example of this fidelity and perseverance. we need only look to St. Monica who prayed for is years for the conversion of a wayward son. At times the situation looked ihopeless, but " I kept up her prayers. At last they were ans- wered and by them the Church gained two saints, St. Monica herself and the wayward son who was convened and became the great St. Augustine.

Keep in mind then. exhortation: "You ought always to pray." Pray with humility, with perseverance and with faith. The answer may be long in com- ing and may not be the one you expected. but have faith. and believe that it will be the right answer. the one which God knows is best for you.
