I have accordingly to acquaint you that the Queen has been pleased to direct that orders in conformity with the principles above stated, should forthwith be addressed to all proper autho- rities in the United Kingdom, and to Her Majesty’s Naval or other authorities in all quarters beyond the United Kingdom, for their guidance in these circumstances.

llEltEAS a certain 'l‘rcaty was made between Her Majesty and the United States of America, on the 5th day of J uuc, ,1854, providing tor Reciprocal Trade:

And whereas the United States ot America have, in accordance with the terms ot the said Treaty, giVen notice for the termination thereof. And whereas in consequence of such notice the said Treaty will expire on the Seventeenth day of March, 1866.

And whereas under the said Treaty many persons. citizens of the United States of America, have invested moneys and ﬁtted out Ships for the purpose of carrying on the (in-shore) Fisheries with- .in the Territory 01 Prince Edward Island, under the said Treaty. And Whereas they may be unaware that their right to carry on such in-shore Fisheries will end on the Said 17th day of March, instant

And whereas it is desirable that due precaution be taken to pre- vent injury or loss to any of Her Majesty’s subjects, or to the citi- zens ot a State with which Her Majesty, the Queen of Great Britain, is happily in uniity. 1 have thought lit, by and with the advice of Her Majesty’s Executive Council, further to prordgue the said General Assembly, and the same is hereby prorogued until Monday the Ninth day ot‘April next ensuing, then to meet for the Despatch of Business, of which all persons concerned are required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
