It's true that Toronto did miss some iwcellent chances to beat Charlie Hodge but the Habs had their opportunities at the other end of the rink. Old Johnny Bowci‘ surely wasn't the goat in this contest. ‘ You can't win games without scoring goals and the would- 1 he-producers of goals in th Leafs’ lineup are surely em- 1 barrassing the opposing goaltenders to any great extent. Fellows I like Mahovlich. Kcon. Pulford. Nevin. Kelly are not getting i too much of the spotlight. Without their goals. Lcats can't get back in the thick of hings. Montreal is playing like a team inspired. They somehow lla\'6‘ the idea that they can beat anybody and they are making a pretty good job of doing just that. They haven't believed a word about how incelrvpetcnt they should be. If they've read these stories. they apparently figured they were nothing more than misprints. They are fired up like the Montreallers of old and are confident they can take care of anybody in the loop.
