Sets Punishing Pace

Boxing brilliantly, the aggres- sive Ross took an early lead to set a punishing pace. Zaduk spurt- ed just before the midway- mark of the fight and the rugged Cape Bretone-r finished strongly despite Zaduks all-out, last-round effort for a knockout.

Zaduk, who came into the ring with a bad cut on his left eyelid, seuned content for the first four rounds to prevent Ross from do- lng any fur-ther- damage. Ho came out of his shell in the fifth round and miller than. whipped in several good stiff rights. 1t was n. right that floored Ross for a rune-count in their first meeting,

To the ringsiders, Zasduk wasn't. as sharp a! he was in Glace Bay. But he did manage to rl-p open a sash over Ross’ left eyebrow in the sixth round with a slicing right. Blood streamed from the old cut for the rest. of the fight but it did not seem to bother Ross.
