Following six weeks of some of the kcenest competition seen on I basketball floor in many a year only tour slim points separate the top teztm from the bottom team in the Y.M.C.A. SWAP (Sport With A Purpose) Basketball League.

The Phalanx entry in the league is rolling along at the top of the league with six victories in eight starts but close on their heels only two points behind is the PHIAT quintet with 5 wins in eight games.

The loopls two entries sponsored by the Y's Men's Clubs Alpha and Centennial are tied for the third slot two points behind the Phiats.

Mark Ladncr. one of the top play- ers iii the City Basketball League with the Trotters. is the master- mind behind the rise nf the Phalanx entry to the top. Garth Crockett coaches the Phiat entry and the Alphas and Ccntennials are coach by Ron Atkinson and Dick Welton

The biggest feature of the league to date has been the close competi- tion. The fact that 8 of the sixteen games played to date have been do cided by 5 or less points indictes
