found at the owner’s stable, North River, until the opening of navigation, when he will start for Kentville, N. S., where he intends to make the season of 1886.
Parties on the Island, desiring the service of the fastest trotting stallion ia the Maritime Provinces, would do well to come early and vaise valuable colts. As you are all aware, Black Pilot, being a green colt, entered the trotting circuit last autumn, starting in five different races, winning first money in four, and making for himself a record of 2.334 on a half-mile track. But this is no measure of his speed, as he has repeatedly shown trials in 2.26 and bids fair, with judicious training, to win laurels for himself that wili never be forgotten by turfmen.
