Mr. Henderson stated that a respectabie, though | not large weeting, held in that place, attended by | Magistrates, merehants and others, a majority voted in | favor of the Fifteen Years’ Parehase Bill. Mr. Sinclair contended that it was a sort of caucus meeting, of which proper notice had not been given, and the resolution was carried only by a bare majority. hon. leader of the Government, also stated that it was at his suggestion the late Government passed the Tenant 5 Loun Bill. Mr. Duncan denied this statement of the bon. leader of the Government.
