I would like to ask if a citizen build a house two or three feet higher than the street, should he be allowed to put his platform so high as to force all his neighbors’ houses to be buried be- neath the surface—that is, if the sidewalk is graded accordingly! The sidewalk to which I allude is not only a disgrace to our City Fathers; but, to use a common expres- sion, ‘‘ a fright.” A Cirizen.
