M-F To Merge Spanish Plant

TORONTO Ferguson [4d., has announced it plans to merge its Span- ish interests with Motor Iberica S. A. of Barcelona, Spain's lead- ing tractor and truck manufac- turer with production last year of almost 12,000 units.

Under the agreement. Motor Iberica would increase its capi- tal and merge with two Spanish cémpanies — Perkins Hispania S. A. maker of diesel engines, in which Massey has a majority interest, and Motorizacion Agri- cola S. A., manufacturer of agri- cultural equipment, ..in . which Massey has a minority interest.

The merger is expected to be

« completed by fall, Massey said. It is subject to approval by the
