for Boys.
The closing exercises of the boys de partinentin St. Joseph’s Convent took place vesterday afternoon at two o’clock. His Lordship Bishop Macdonald the cathedral clergy aod # number of the parents of pupils and other friends of the institution were sresent. The little fel- lows acquitted themselves eplendidiy and everyone present was delighted with showing that was made. Dnuring the c urse ofthe exercises recitatiois were eiveu by Claude Blake, Guy Scotr, Jobo Jenkins and Josie Walsh, and the boys aleo sang two choruses, “Tbe Gay Musi ciaus” and “We are Jully Youngst-re.” “A few words of thanks” were said by Harry Jeukins. His Lordship Bishop Macdonala, who distributed the prizes, epoke very highly of the good work that was being dove by the Sisters of St. Joseph, and expressed his pleasure at the progress made by the boys in the different braoches of study. SAD DROWNING ACCIDENT.
Mart'n Hogah Loses His Life at Sentner’s Mi ls.
A sad drownicg accident occurred at
Sentner’s Mills, about eight miles from the city, ov the Loyali-t Roal, this morning, the vistin being Marto dogao, a weil known resident of Cuarlotteiown. ' _ It seems that early this moroing Hogan, in company with- bis nephew Arthur Hoyas, Kldie White aod William Mac dovad, drove out to Sentner’a Mills to fish trou.,
Martin went out ona raft of loga to the middle of the pond and then fell off. Being unable to swim he soou sank to rise no more alive.
