The blessing and dedication of the new Church of the Immacu- late Conception at Wellington on Sunday next recalls the interest- ing history of this parish, of which a sketch is given below. The former church was destroyed by fire on January 31. 1951, and the following spring work was started on the new building. which was opened for service on the Feast of the Immaculate Concep- tion. Dec. 8, 1952. The first part of Sunday mornings service will consist of the blessing of the cor- nerstone, followed by the dedica- tion ceremony. Most Rev. James Boyle.
