From November third to fifth the Charlottetown Civic Centre will hold Career Expo 92.

students from Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island,’’ according to the press release.

Sherri Egan, Manager of Career Expo ’92, says that students who graduate from school choose few career options, and that they know little about the job market. With Career Expo, organizers hope that students will devise better and more appropriate course selections i in high school and post- secondary institutions.

Other goals this Expo wants to accomplish are to encourage students to stay in school; inspire youth to reach career goals; make students aware of regional, national, and inter- national career opportunities; and to involve the community in the education process.

Nearly two hundred careers will be represnted at Career Expo’92. Professions and trades will be depicted equally. Ms. Egan stresses that Expo is not a recruiting tool, buta vehicle for an exchange of information on behalf of the exhibitors.

U.P.E.I. students are reminded that two sessions on Tuesday, November third and Thursday, November fifth from 2:30 to 4:00pm are available for you to check out the Exposition. Career Expo ’92 is sponsored by Employment and Immigra- tion Canada, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Depart- ment of Education, Unit Three School Board, Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce, U.P.E.I. and Holland College.
