Most of the 2,400 patients at the centre just don’t want or can't afford morg babies. Some are under a doctor’s.orders not to become pregnant again

The U.S. government ¢stab- lished in February its first birth control project with a. modest grant of $?,500 for four one-day- a-week neighborhood clinics. Ii has not been in operation long enough to fully test its effec- iveness.

But the private, non - -profit planned parenthood centre,

which administers the federal project, has been in existence six years, producing some startling statistics:
