Young Fowls.
Yeung fowls are the most valuable, and those wishing to secure most profit from poultry should never keep fowls more than two years old. When hens attain their third and fourth year their egg-producing powers decrease. A good plan is to winter about an equal number of pullets and older birds thus keeping up a better supply of eggs than ean otherwise be done. Another reason why young fowls should be kept is that at two years old a hen is quite passable for eating, which cannot be said further on, There is every advantage in taking the course suggested.
