The .men wi then marched to the Drill Shed where they where inspected in artillery drill. Each company furnished two detachments on 64~pounder, R M L, and two on 40-ponoder, R BL guns. Here the men again fully sustained their reputas tion as efficient artillerymen, their work calliog forth many encomiuos from the inspector.

It must have been highly gratifying to Lieut-Colonel Moore, DOC, to find the old regimeat which he formerly commanded sustaining is reputation as one of the moat efficient in Canada, and Lieut Colone Longworth has reason to be proud o commanding such a fine corps. Captains Davison and Moore, with their officers, deserve all the praise they received for the really excellent work performed by the men under their command, When all do so well we dare not make invidious com- parisons, vet we must say the work done by No 1 Company upon the field yester- day was the finest exhibition of drill ever given in this province,
