McCrabb, who joined the Leafs about six weeks ago after being “u-nfrozen" from his farm, yielded five scattered blows, two of which were homers by Jerry Crosby in the. second and fourth frames to ac- count for all Newarks scoring.

I-I.ank Borowy pitched his 10th complete National League game in as many starts for league-leading Chicago Cubs yesterday, and al- though he blew a 3-0 lead, came up with a ninth-inning victory over Boston Braves. 5-4, at Chicago.

The tall. angular hurler gave the Braves l0 hits in winning h eighth victory against two losses for the Cubs. but he let Boston pu‘. together four hits in the fifth for two runs and four more in the sev- enth for two more tallies.
