Blan- chard, ot Boston, has decided to give a purse of $10,000, open to ail trotting stallions eligible to 2 12 cl.ss, for a race to occur on September 13th, 1893, at Beacon Paik. Mile heats, best three in five, to harness. Purse to be divided : $5,000 to firat hers, $7,500 to second, $1,500 to third, $1,000 to fourth. Eatrance, ten per cent of purse, payable two per cent May Ist, two per cent June lst, two per cent August lst, two per cent September Ist. Mr. Ban- chard wes the donor of the great $10,000 stake given September 15th, 1874, at Mystic Park, which was won hy Smuggler, and at- tracted the greatest crowd of people that ever paid admission to a trotting race. It is in- tended that the meeting now proposed shall be equally attractive.
