All hands were drowned The bodies of the unfortunate men were washed ashore; but the body of the boy has not yet been recovered. Their remains were interred at Caraquet on Monday. -

Mrs Burns, one of the women injured by Barnum’s elephaat Em- peror, which ran away in the streets on august 31 ult,, died last Saturday. Patrick Barns, husband of the deceased, who was also struck by the elephant, is not expected to live. Mrs. Langley, another victim of the elephant’s pranks, 's dying. Patrick Coplon, who was throwu across the street by the elephant, has commenced suit against Barnum for $5,000.

He is, we learn, a careful painstaking Captain, who studies the comfort, convenience - and safety of passengers.
