ARTICLEXVI— DUTIES OF PRESONNEL BOARD

1. The Board shall advertise fully in two consecutive issues of the student news-

. paper, by posters, and by .prepared personnel leaflets,

all U.P.E.I.S.U. positions. available for student part— icipition in the Spring and Fall of each year and shall advertise fully throughout the rest of the year through the student newspaper and

by the use of official notices. -

2. The Personnel Board shall interview and recommend the applicant on the following criteria: .

a) qualifactions of appli-

4. The Personnel Board shall be required to act on a writ— ten request for personnel rec- ommendations frem any commitee Board.of Organization which sets out the number of persons

5. The Personnel Board shall prepare and maintain a stand— ing Presonnel File for the U.P. E.I.SU. which includes its ap— plications, proceedings and findings.

6. No member of the Executive except for the Vice President

7. Only the Personnel Board may hire or fire Personnel.

ARTICLE XVIII — MEETINGS 1. The Speaker of the Stu— dent Union shall ne chair—

shall record all minutes of Council, General Membership,

and Executive Committee

meetings. All minutes shall

be approved by the signature of the speaker.

ARTICLE XIX - General Meet—

ings -

1. General Meetings of the Student Union shall be held no later than thirty adys after the first day of clas— ses of the Fall Semester; the other to be held within three weeks of the change- over meeting of Council. The actual dates for these meet— ings is to be set by the Council at least two weeks prior to the decided date. 2. Other general membership meetings shall be held:

a) upon a resolution by a

majority vote of the Council

b) upon a written request signed by 250 active members of the U.P.E.I.S.U. submit— ted to the Speaker of the Union. The request shall contain specific points to be placed on the Agenda for the_meeting.

3. The Speaker of the Union

will preside at all general membership meetings.

7. Ten days clearﬁnotice of all General MembershiijeetQ ings specifying the date, place, and agenda of the meeting shall be gdvendby posting notices throughout the campus. Ten days notice is also to be given in the Student newspaper. These‘ notices shall be signed by the Speaker.

N.B. If a quorum is not pre— sent at the meeitng, the ,speaker shall declare a gen— eral information meeting and the agenda will proceed; however, without the requir— ed quorum, no motions shall be recognized by the chair. Also of note is the fact that all Union membersﬁare allowed to enter the dis—

cussions at General meetings, but only active members may

vote or submit a motion.

ARTICLE xx — Order of Gen— eral Meetings ” .

Fall Meeting

The order business shall be: 1. Reading and approval of the minutes of the last meeting. ,;
