Exchange Reserves Increase Report For Oct. Indicates
OTTAWA (CPi—The Cana- dian exchange reservos grew by $119,300,000 during October. It brought the gain over the last four months to nearly $260,000,- 000.
The government has announced the Oct. 31 balance at 8,636,600,000 in United States dollars and gold.
However. repayments total- ling $107.m.ooo on Canada's 1962 loan from the Interns t-ional Monetary Fund reduce the net four a month gain to $152,700,000.
