The first meeting of the Trustees or the Protestant Orphanage in the New Year‘ was held on Tuesday January 22nd. There was an ex- cellent attendance of out-of-town members from as far West as El- lerslie and Summerside and East to Montague.

The meeting was resided over by the Chairman o the Board. Mr. W. A. Stewart, City.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted and the follow- ing additions to the Endowment last meeting were announced: state L. E. Brecken $1,118.28; $600.00 Accu u- latlon Estate H. R. Hlllson 531d Estate Janie Patrldge $198.45.

The chief attraction of the meet- lug was receiving reports of the several committees covering the year 1946 and not the least was the finances.

Mrs. H. S. Henderson in present- ing this report stated that it was her nineteenth consecutive effort and that this year crowned them all in the amount collected and even though the expenses were higher there still was a comfort- ing surplus over all. Full details were given in both revenue and expenditure. Many new districts had been induced to make collections and the steady ones in most cases
