Frac.—The barn of Mr. Malcolm McLeod (Stone House.) Orwell [lead was totally consumed by fire on Thareday, the 1%h Auguet, together with all it contained, ¢ neisting of about thirty-two tons of hay, sleixhe enrt harness, farming implements, &c. ‘The burn was one of the tarvest and best in

commanity sympathise with Mr. McLeod in his very heavy loss, which cannet fall far short of £200. The fire oceurred about the hour of eleven ocleck in the forenoon. Mr McLeod was from home. There were two barracks filled with straw situate close to the back part of the barn, one of which canght fire and the thimes extended te the other ove.
