Killed by a Kick.

WE are sorryto hear that Heber May- hew, the fourteen-year-old son of Mr. Ed- ward Mayhew, of Cornwall, was kicked in the head by a horse yesterday. afternoon about two o'clock, and was se badly injur- ed that he died about eight o’clock last night. It appears that young Mayhew was on the horse’s back, driving him from the pasture tothe pump to water, when the animal shied and the lad was thrown off When falling he held on to the reins ard tried to stop the horse. Instead of stopping, however, the horse kicked, striking your g Mayhew, and breaking his skull. May- hew’s elder brother, who witnessed the ac- cident, carried him into the hou-e, and medical aid was promptly summoned. But he ty past recovery, and died as above stated.
