In the centre ward, Coun. MacCausland will be opposed by George Key Jr., who an- nounced on Saturday that he will offer in the centre ward.

In the east ward, Coun. Jen- kins has been the only one to announce candidacy, and no re- ports of other candidates in this ward have been heard.

Today is nomination day for all participating candidates and the Summerside Civic Elec- tion will be held on Feb. 27.

In statements released to this paper yesterday Mayor W.A. Currie said he was renominat- ing for the office of mayor be- cause of the pubic ‘support that had been indicated to him -in this purpose. He said that in view of the civic problems, mostly financial, with which the town will be faced in the next two years, through further ex- panded growth, he felt he should contribute the knowledge gained as mayor through six years of experience and study of muni- cipal affairs.
