On Monday all the C. G. R. shop employees lucl'hding those of the P-. E. I. R., began work under their new schedule which is the some as the McAdoo schedule. The men go to work rat-1.30 in the morning instead or 7 o‘clock, and work until 12 noon, returning .to work at 1 o'clook and work until 5 making 8 1-2 hours for the day. The shop men are to have Saturday afternoon a halt holiday oil the year round, instead of in the summer months only, us thus been the custom making the week, 47 hours. it is understood the men are to re- ceive back time increase dated from the month of May, and are to rec eivo time and it half for the extra hour worked since August 1st. Under the new schedule all mechanics classed as first class are to receive 68c per hour; blacksmiths' helpers. boilormakcrs’ home's-s and machin- ists 'llelp will receive 45c per hour.
