Mr. Parent explained that the platform serves as a storage place for manure and makes the manure pile easily accessible with a front end tractor loader without the possibility of being bogged down. :

COMING EVENTS

Some of the coming events at the farm are the Ayshire breed- ers’ annual meeting which takes place Dec. 10. Early in the new year, an egg grading course of two weeks duration will be con- ducted by the PEI department of agriculture at Birch Court.

Following this there will be the annual conference of federal provincial agriculturists which! will take place early in February. These meetings are in keeping with the farm's policy of encour- | aging farm orgarfzations to use the facilities provided.

At the present time two of the staff members are on a visit to the experimental farms at Fred- ericton and Nappan, Dr. J.W:G.)
