CAMPUS ACTIVITIES

The wide variety of activ- ities at UPEI offer stud- ents a chance to invest their spare time in their particular interests. Getting involved in campus organizations is a great way to meet new people and have a good time as well as expand your horizons.

UPEI boasts a thriving intramural program with a list of sports guaranteed to satisfy virtually every- one. The purpose of the program is to allow every student to participate at a competitive level of sport. For those with the desire and talent to play at the varsity level, UPEI has a number of teams taking part in inter- collegiate competition.

Most areas of study have clubs or societies that serve as social and intel— lectual outlets. Ranging from the Business Society to the Philosophy Club, these groups have regular activities as well as special events. ,

The Student Union and its various committees are involved in the administra- tive end of campus life and there is always room for bright, energetic people.

Radio CIMN and the Sun newspaper are student endeavors into the media. People are needed to help

'inthe job of running the

radio station and turning out the newspaper and ' these two operations let you delve into your speci- fic interest whether it be announcing. writing, prod-

ucing or reporting. It's a

The library — perhaps

a university‘student has. It's a great place to meet other students. a place to find out what's new on campus, and most import- antly - it's a place to study and to find infor- mation. We are very fort- unate in that we have one of the newest and most mod- ern library facilities in Eastern Canada at our disposal. However, in high school the library

is used by only a feW' students and you often hear of freshman who treat the university-library in the same way. Listed below are just a few of the many things that Robertson Library has to offer:
