The cslobrsnt o! the Mass was Rev. J. B. Crolsen. a nephew o! Mrs. McIntyre, while her nieces, Mrs. Edgar Hickey and Noreen Hickey were the organist and singers.

AAt their home in the evening the jubllarlans were banquetted by irienda and relatives number- ing twenty. The rooms were ad- orned by a proiusion of out ﬂowers while the supper table was centered with a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake trim- med in gold and white, and. tall candles on either side.

Those assisting in prmaring and serving supper were Mrs. Eldgax Hickey, Mrs. James Gon- don, Mrs. Percy Drlscoll. Mrs. James Pendergast. Mrs. Brendon Driscoll, Mrs. _Wm. Hickey and Mrs. Rosella Gillis.

Rev. R. F. McDonald. pastor o! Indian River parish was master 0i ceremonies and called on Mr. James Pendergast to read a con- gratulatory addresh which was accompanied by appropriate giits. Led by Rein J. B. Croken all the

Peter Simon McIntyre, named for his cousin the late Bishop McIntyre. is a direct descendant oi the earliest Scottish settlers. His lather. Angus lvlclntyre came to P. E. Island on the "Alexan- der", the ship which landed the ilrst Scottish settlers at Scotch- iort in 1772. Being an interest- ing conversation-dust, his iriends delight to hear Mr. McIntyre re- count the early history oi P. B. Island. Mrs. McIntyre was ior- merly Clementine Driscoll and was born at Clermont. Before her marriage she taught. ior several years in various schools of Prince County and is kindly remembered by her many pupils. The McIn- tyres spent most oi"t.helr married liie on n. iarm st New Annan. where they both took a promin- ent. part in community aﬂairs. Retiring ten years ago they moved lo Kensington. Their only child, Mary. is married to Joseph Mc- Kenna and lives in Saginaw. Mich. It was impossible ior her to be home ior her parents‘ gold- ’,‘.\ wedding but they enloyed a rsit irom her and her iamlly -eirller' in the month.
