SIR,—Several times this win- ter we have read where the car ferries ‘af Borden with very heavy ice, some cross- ings taking several hours. I won- der as one of the crew of the early twenties how many are left who made the crossing. in the winter of 1925, when we were 76 hours. going one way. We left Borden pier with passengers Saturday — morning, making good time until we near- ed Tormentine, and stuck fast.
