More than six years ago, you, on behalf of the citizens of Charlottetown, welcomed me to 'our shores, and assured me that nothing would

9 wanting on your part to render my residence amongst you pleasant and agreeable.

I have been deeply gratified by observing the fitthfulness with which you have carried out that pledge, and I need hardly assure you of the pleasure I experience in receiving your present address, with its renewed expression of good wishes towards me.

Believe me that I resume the Government Of this Island with undiininished interest in its welfare and prosperity.

In Mrs. Dundas’s name as well as my own I heartily thank you for your wishes for our health and happiness.

And I do hereby further order. that a true copy of this order be published in the Royal Gazette. newspaper. for at least three consecutive weeks from the (late hereol; and also that a true copy of this order he lorthwith served upon the Agent or Agents respectively of the said Elizabeth Clark. Benjamin Scott and Ulementina Scott. his wile. such Agent or Agents being resident in the Island aforesaid. and that such publication in the said Royal Gazette newstaper. and such service upon the agent or agents as aforesaid shall be deemed a sufficient service and notice of such division as aloresaid upon the said persons respectively last named.
