Once again this practicall new branch oi sport in Island ahletic circles enjoyed a good season with leagues being formed all over the Island and the game marking rapid strides wherever it was taken up. In Summerside a Town League was in operation with Houston's being returned the winners after going through the season with but one defeat being tacked on them in league competition. . Locally the City~ lewllie was a- gain ln operation with Tim's In- dians. formerly known as the 8th Battery squad coming out on top aitel- being furnished plenty oi opposition by the other three teams that composed Rovers, Imperials and a new entry the Bees.

The league could not be termed as suocesslul as the previous year but nevertheless some stirring dia- mond battles were witnessed. Rov- ers defending their championship got away to a brilliant start as
