The Gem will cover any issues that people feel are important, even if only one person thinks it is important (as long as it com- plies to our submission policy). This means that if someone indi- cates that they would like to read something about homosexuel is- sues, we will print them. One person wrote in and complained because we only covered homo- sexuel issues and neglected issues such as beastiality, masturbation, and incest. Well buddy, if we left out your little sexuel fantasies I apologize, but if you would like to submit something on those is- sues, we'll certainly print them. But... then people will probably write in and say that I have sex with my horse. Come on peo- ple, grow up! You’re in univer- sity now not junior high, and its time you stopped being so closed minded!! Oh, and if its any of your damn business, no I’m not homosexuel, and neither are any of my staff members to my knowl- edge.

You sound a little bitter. Is it because you have to walk 20 min. to school. Remember, where you live was your choice. There’s plenty of room in residence, feel free to move in. By the way, if you did own a car, and were paying $500 rent per month to live in a building that had handy parking, wouldn’t you be just a little bothered that your land- lord made you park three blocks away??

| would also like to re- mind you that we only accept hand or typewrit- ten submissions through our mail slot or submis- sions mailed to VAX ac- count GEM. We do not ac- cept submissions on disc as we do not have a micro- computer.

Please do not phone or write to our office and complain that we “forgot” your submission last week. We rarely “forget” submis- sionas, so if yours is not in the paper, there is proba- bly a good reason.
