The Managers of the Boston, Halifax and Prince Edward Island Steamship Line have to-day wired that, “Owing to the accident to the Gate City, it will become necessary to withdraw the Merrimack frem the Eastern line to fill her place for a short time. in consequence of this the Carroli and Worcester will sail once a week on the ‘same schedule as formerly.

“The management regret exceedingly being compelled to make this change, at this time, as it is their intention to increase and improve the facilities of the Eastern tine.” The Merrimack will, therefere, leave here at 6 o'clock to-morrow (Thursday) Evening, and will not return until further notice, after this week.
