Last Tuesday morning the steamer Mo»- ‘ana took from New York for England fifty carpenters, who are to be employed by R. Neill & Sons, builders at Manchester. The half hundred were near!y all residents of New York and Brooklyn, and have been selected by Mr, Jabez W. Abbott, an em. ploying mason of Passaic, New Jersey. The preferance was given to single men. and none were accepted without tools and good references. } egsrs. RK.
