The death occurred at her home on Kent Street, Georgetown, on Sunday. May 13th. of Mrs. Mary Sculiy in her 05th year. Approximately ill) boys. girls and leaders were guests of the Souris Athletic Association at an enjoyable get-together in the basement in the Souris Parish Hall last night. The meeting was under the chairmanship of Mr. Arthur Peters. President of the Association.

Upon conclusion ofthe addresses, individual Physical Fitness trophies were presented by Brig. Reid to Souris Pee-wees as awards for winning Island title. The Larter Pharmacy Trophy for the highest point winner in the Town Pee- Wee League was presented by Mr. Henry Larter to Frank Macin- tosh. The Tip Top Trophy. emblematic of the Town Pee-Wee title was presented to the Teddies by the Rev. Plus Murnaghan. The James Brennan Trophy. awarded in the best. player in the Island Paperweight playdowns was pre- sented to Carl Peters by Mr. James Brennan.

The final presentation of the evening was made by two of the boys of the Association when a suitable gift of appreciation was handed to Mr. James Brennan. genial and popular manager of the Souris rink as a token of gratitude in, his generosity ahd cooperation during the past two winters in the promotion of minor hockey.

The funeral was held from her late home to St. James Church at 9.00 AM. on Tuesday, May 15th. Requiem High Mass was celebrat- ed by Rev. O.Kiggins and present in the san-ctvuary were Rev. B. MacDonald of St. Georges and Rev. F. M-ullaly of Sturgeon. The pallbearers were: F. J. Dc- Lory, C. H. Llewellyn, J.H. Mac- Donald, Ashley Allen, Patrick Munphy and J. F. Johnson. Interment was in St. James Church cemetery.

Mrs. Harry Cudmore. Director of Red Cross First Aid Services tested the pupils on Monday. May 14th and talked to them on the importance of preventing acci- dents in their homes and on the farms.

BRISTOL, England, May 13 .. (AP) - The coroner found today that James Rowe, 4.9, shot himself to death without a gun. Police said that Rowe gripped s 12- bore shotgun shell in a wrench, put his mouth over it. and fired it by hitting the cap with a steel punch.
