In 1919 he married the late Elizabeth Charlotte Jenkins Bethel. Lot 48. and he resided In Charlottetown until six years ago. when he moved to Summer- slde after the death of his wife.

He was a carpenter by trade and worked on many projects in the capital city and on the is- land. Although in poor health for

the past eight years. Mr. Harper P00

bore his sufferings with great courage and he was up around until a few days before his death.

He leaves to mourn one son and two daughters. John in St. Eicanors. Amy. Mrs. Brenton V. Macbean. Woodstock. N.B. a nd Marion. Mrs. Lorne A. Stewart. Kemptviile. Ontario. There are also nine grandchildren. a broth- er Jack and a sister Manda both in the USA.

The funeral which was large attended was held on Thursday afternoon. November 28th. from the Ma Funer Home. Charlottetown. the service being conducted by Rev. C.R. Webber (1 Trinity United Church. Sum- rnerside. The Canadian Legionl service at the grave was read] by F.W. Leard. I

The following were the pall- bearers. Charles Hamm. Watson MacKinnon, Urias McDonaid.! Cornelius Corrigan. Louis Camp- bell and Augustus Dowling.

Interment was in the Peoples cemetery.
