Veteran cf Two wars Passes away

A native of Miscouche, Prince County. he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gaudet. He nlovcd to Charlottetown 60 years ago and had lived here since ex- cept ior tile time he spent. over- seas yviih the armed forces.

He enlisted in the second special service South African Battalion, R.C.R.I. in OCi/Obcr 1899 and was (lischurged after the war on No- vember 3, 1900.

In the World War he enlisted on September 26. 1014 with the First, Division Ammunition Col- ulnn and saw service until the end of hostilities. He was discharged on December l3. 1918.

I-Ie came through both wars without serious wounds.

He was av rtlcd a long service medal for s ice with the Colonial Auxiliary Services.

For a number of years while he resided here he was a member of the Charlottetown Fire Depart- mcllt.

I-Te was unmarried. surviving are two sistcrs. Mrs. Simon LeBlanc nf Cllnrlolictcum and Mrs. Peter Gallant of Wellington, P.E.I., and a half-brother, Alexander Gnudet in Western Canada.
