We' Gemmies have come up with a great new idea for fall of ’84. We’re going to help students get the most out of U.P.E.I. and Charlotte- town.

Sound blithe? Well, this all-new column will have a difference; ﬁrst of all, you’ve got a wealth of information (translated mouthpiece) on your side in your lifestyles reporter.

All seriousness aside, though, there are more places to go in Charlottetown than Towers and Kmart. Our aim, yours and mine, for this year will be to ﬁnd more places to eat, drink, and be merry than we ever dreamed existed in P.E.l.’s capital city.

Ideally, there will be a. column in every week’s issue.

Now, I’m sure students in residence will welcome that — you poor people are pro- bably already lusting after Mom’s home cooking, and the restaurants we recom- mend are guaranteed to have more atmosphere than the cafeteria.

Charlottetown has fou (count-em) cinemas. Even tually, it will work out that in every other issue, we’ll ‘review for you a film which has just arrived in Charlotte- town. Of course, our word is not gospel, but it will be interesting to see how many ~ agree with out judgment. .

We’ll try to get a weekly rundown on activities off the beaten track — things like poetry readings, wine and cheese parties open to the general public, when and where defensive driving
