Joe was going away at the rail with Meadow Pace and as they turned into the back strech the horse made a ruffle and Joe started to take him back and all of a sudden he went

'down and the sulky of the horse behind struck Joe, breaking one rib and causing injury to others. In addition he suffered a con- cussion from his head striking the track. In less than five min- vutes the ambulance was whisking him away to hospital. The next day Joe appeared swathed in

The 5th and 8th races, a Free For All Trot for a 53.000 purse. was won by Roll On 3, 2.08 325 with Main Songvz, Prolight 3 in the fifth race and Prolight 2 and Aces 3 in the 3th race. The time was the same in both events-2.12. The track was heavy from rain and the time was con- sidered good, in .fact it was the fastest of the night. Roll On is by Bombs Away and raced last year in the stable of Aubrey Rod- ney.
