Tar Fire at Bonsnaw.-— It is thought

yesterday Crosby, manager of the Do- minion Type Foundry, wasexamined. He testified that type was supplied the Gov- ernment at current rates, and his Company received no favors. He produced all the correspondence between the Company and Chapleau, which was very disappointing to the Grits. He could not explain why the Company had given the fifteen hundred dollars’ cheque to Benoit, President uf the Conservative Association. He did not know the reason for it or what use it was put to—that transaction was with the president of the company, Murray, a strong grit, and since dead. The payment of the cheque had nothing to do with the sa.e oftype. He managed all sales him- self.

Yesterday was another cold day forthe grits in committee, who are beginning to get disheartened. They tried to introduce foreign matter into the enquiry, but were promptly brought to time by Foster.

Majority and Minority Reports A SYNOPSIS OF EACH.

Orrawa, Sept. 16.

The report prepared by Sir John Thompsen, Girvurard and Adams con- demns Thomas MeGreevy out and out. They reject Owen Murphy’s and Robert McGreevy’s évidence as unworthy of beliel; they find the charges against Langevin not sustained, and no evidence to show him guilty of any improper conduct; they find Larkin, Connolly & Co. guilty of con- spiracy to defraud the Government in which they were assisted by Thos. McGreevy; they recommend that the conspirators be prosecuted, and that for this purpose the books and papers of Larkin, Connolly and the McGreevys, which were produced be- fore the Committee, be retained and made available for prosecution.

Mills and Davies’ report condemns Lan- gevin unreservedly. :

Both reports will be submitted to the full comr-ittee to-day.
