V4 cup lukewarm water

1 level tablespoon white sugar

1 cake compressed yeast

1% cups milk

2 eggs well beaten

Mix water, sugar and yeast. Let stand for 10 minutes. Scald milk, cool to lukewarm. Ad d eggs, sugar, salt and yeast mix- ture. Add flour, little at a time, beat after each addition.” Place
